A world-wide call-out for artworks for the Bondi Beach Sea Wall. An opportunity for artists to make their mark in 2017. Sea Wall panels range from 4–8 metres wide. Street artists, conceptual designers, curators, graphic designers and artists of all genres are invited to apply.

Chosen allows Indigenous communities to take control and plan for how they will nurture younger people from their community/sector in the arts and/or culture. Chosen sets out to reinvigorate the cultural practice of master apprentice relationships within the arts community and sector, successful projects will facilitate intergenerational transfer of knowledge.

This new $100,000 acquisitive visual arts prize invites submissions of new work by Australian artists under the age of 40 in any medium; sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, installation, sound, digital and live art. Presented by the James & Diana Ramsay Foundation. The selected work will be included in a major exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

The Visual Arts Fellowship is funded by the Copyright Agency and administered by NAVA, and aims to assist exceptional mid-career Australian visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners to undertake a self directed program of professional development.
Two $20,000 fellowships are open to individual mid-career artists and groups. Groups must have a demonstrated history of ongoing collaborative practice between applicants. Funding can be used toward a range of activities such as research, travel, skills development, residencies, mentorships, professional development and training, creation of new work and exhibition/ project costs.
Funding Available: Individual applicants will be awarded of $20,000 + GST.
Important Dates: Applications open 10th August and close at 23:59 AEST Saturday 8th October 2016.
The Visual Arts Fellowship application process is run through the external SmartyGrants system.
The Australian Artists’ Grant has been initiated by NAVA to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners to produce, present and promote their work throughout Australia and overseas.
This grant provides assistance towards the costs of: Production of new creative work, Presentation of work in a venue, Residencies involving the production of new work/ presentation of new work, Production and distribution of an artist’s publication or portfolio, Setting up a website, preparing a publicity campaign.
Funding Available: Individual applicants are eligible to apply for funding of up to $500 + GST. Group applications are eligible to apply for funding of up to $1,000 + GST. An individual exhibiting in a group show can apply for individual funding, but the assessors may choose to limit the funds going to any one exhibition.
Important Dates: This grant operates in quarterly rounds. Applications for the next round close at 23:59 AEST Saturday 12 November 2016. Funds from this round can be used for projects or exhibitions taking place in January, February, March, April 2017 only.
Please note that due to loss of funding NAVA may not be able to offer the Australian Artists’ Grant beyond this current round.
